Chapter 6

Dalkieth – Vampire Kingdom

You would have thought things would have gotten better between Damon and Serena but it didn't it only got worse. They didn't talk to each other at all throughout the entire next week. They were simply forced to deal with each other so they dealt with each other in silence that was the only thing they had agreed on. The only time they were near each other and they didn't go at each others throats was when they slept in the same bed or when he fed. He was gentle when he fed but she ignored it.

When he touched her otherwise or even talked to her she bitched and fought him. It was unbearable for anyone to be in the same room as them. At one point they had to clear a room because the two had started to throw things. They destroyed a whole room.

Serena laid in bed beside Damon. It wasn't horrible. Though she would never admit it, she felt safer when they were near each other and ever since they came back from Brightvale she felt like she was being watched. She hated fighting with Damon. It made her hurt inside and she could see it in his eyes when they fought that it hurt him to. She could feel his pain and he could feel hers. So why didn't they stop. Because that would mean giving up and they both didn't want to give up their dignity by waving the white flag. She rolled over closer beside him and laid her head on his chest. Damon looked down at her, After a second he sighed, wrapped his arms around her and closed his eyes. For once they were at peace.

Moremead – Werewolf Kingdom

Nizel kneeled before Lucian.

“Stand Nizel” Lucian said. He stared at the vampire with distaste.

“Lucian I bring you a way to take down Aleron and his Kingdom” Nizel said.

“You'd betray your own brother, again might I add” Lucian said.

“The girl, we use her to lure Damon once he is taken care of you can take down Aleron” Nizel said.

“Once again might I add that we tried that already and you failed me” Lucian said slightly aggrivated.

“Damon and the human girl are soul mates Damon and Regan were not” Nizel said. Lucian sighed.

“Name your price” Lucian said.

“I want faircove “ Nizel said. Lucian nodded

“I think we can come to an agreement” Lucian said

“...and Regan” Nizel added. Lucian nodded

“you can have her once Damon is dead” Lucian said. Nizel nodded.

“Take Raze and Calden” he said again. Nizel nodded and bowed.

“I won't fail you again” Nizel said.

Dalkieth – Vampire Kingdom

Serena woke up in Damon's arms. They stared at each other in silence before a knock on the door interrupted them.. They moved away from each other. Damon got up and opened the door. Thalia stood there. She brushed past Damon and into the room.

“Your relieved” She said sitting down on the end of the bed.

“Thank you” Damon said. Thalia turned to Serena. Serena blinked.

“What was that all about?” Serena asked.

“Damon wants to talk to Father” She said. Serena nodded.

She didn't see Damon after he left that morning. Nor did she see anyone else but Thalia.

“Where is everyone?” Serena asked.

“There around” she said.

“Where's Damon?” she asked again. Thalia didn't answer. Serena got up and followed Thalia. Serena walked into the office with Thalia. Damon and Aleron were talking and not paying attention that the girls had walked into the room.

“She means nothing to me” Damon said. Serena felt as if her heart was ripping. Before anyone could stop her she took off sobbing. Damon could feel the heartbreak but he didn't know why it wasn't about her. She locked herself out on the patio. She sobbed for hours.

After a bit she got up and walked towards the door. She pushed it open. Damon was sitting facing her waiting for her to come inside so he could explain. Someone grabbed her from behind.

“DAMON!” Serena screamed. Damon ran out catching a glimpse of his uncle as he disappeared taking Serena with him..
