Serena layed in bed. Her eyes were closed. She had spent the whole day in the room after she talked with Aleron. She couldn't believe everything she heard. It was just impossible. She felt like she was in a dream. A really bad dream.
Damon sat against the wall on the balcony to the room Serena slept in. He had just come back to make sure she was okay. He couldn't understand it. Any of it.
Aleron watched his son.
“how long since you've fed?” he asked. Damon awoke with a start. He glared up at his father. “couldn't stay away could you” Damon ignored him.
“Shes okay?” Damon asked. Aleron nodded. “then I'll be going”
“she doesn't believe, she needs you and you need her” Aleron said. Damon brushed it off and took a running dive off the balcony. Aleron sighed. If only they weren't so stubborn.
Serena walked into Aleron's office.
“look I'll believe you. I'll believe everything and I'll try to keep an open mind, just take me back so I can say goodbye or leave a goodbye letter. Just let me have one day. One day to collect some of my things and then I'll never turn back” Serena said. Aleron looked up through his glasses. He thought about the proposition.
“alright” he said “you can have one day. But you can't say goodbye face to face. It would be too dangerous”
“That's all i'm asking for” she said. He nodded.
“we'll leave tomorrow morning first thing” he said. She nodded.
“thankyou” she said.
The next morning they stood on the dock waiting for the next boat to the human world. Serena was wearing a cloak to cover her appearance. When they arrived on the mainland they first went to her apartment. Police were in and out of her apartment. No one looked their way. It was like no one saw them.
“Why can't they see us” Serena asked.
“We only show ourselves to whom we want to be seen by” Aleron said “they can't hear us and when we get your things I will freeze time so everything stops” They walked into her apartment. Police were everywhere. Cal was sitting with my best friend Andrea who was crying.
A police officer came in.
“Ms. Winters, Mr. Park, I'm Lieutenant Davis. I'm terribly sorry to have to tell you this but we found your friends car and your friend” Andrea looked up at the Lieutenant
“is she okay...where is she?” Andrea asked
“I'm sorry Ms. Winters. Her car was found in the river. She's gone” the Lieutenant said. Serena looked up at Aleron.
“When you disappear onto the island you end up dying in this world. Its hard to explain” he said.
“But I'm still alive” she said.
“How” Andrea asked “Serena...”
“Her car veered off from what we can tell and into the river. She's been missing a month
Everything stopped.
“And now you collect your things” he said. Serena nodded, She collected her things, quietly and quickly. On the way back to the island she sat quietly. Aleron motioned for her to look ahead. At first she saw nothing but ocean and then the island appeared before her.
“Welcome to Sange Luna” Aleron said.
“I thought you said it wasn't visible to the human eye?” she asked.
“You've been shown our world and have been willingly accepted into it” Aleron said.
